Ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? The Discover Scuba Diving Program is your perfect first step. Designed for complete beginners, this 1-day experience requires no swimming skills—just good health and a spirit of adventure. You'll start with a safety briefing and a pool session to learn basic skills and get comfortable underwater. Then, head by boat to the dive sites near Grande Island, where you’ll dive up to 12 meters for up to 40 minutes under expert supervision. We’ll even capture underwater photos if conditions allow. Dive in and discover the magic of the ocean!

YOUR SCUBA DIVING ITINERARY
06:00 AM – Arrive at Novotel Resort & Spa, Candolim. Park inside the resort and come to the hotel lobby. Fill out forms and meet your dive instructors.
06:15 AM – Safety and dive briefing. Learn about the dive plan, equipment, and essential safety signals.
06:30 AM – Pool training session (1 hour). You’ll learn basic scuba skills, breathing techniques, and underwater communication in a controlled environment.
07:15 AM – Change into dry clothes and get ready for departure.
07:30 AM – Tea/Coffee break at Novotel Resort & Spa and settle final payments.
07:45 AM – Depart from Novotel to the jetty (around 4 km away). You can use your own vehicle or come in our car; parking is available at the jetty.
08:20 AM – Arrive at the jetty and board the dive boat.
08:30 AM – Boat departs for Grande Island. Receive a detailed dive site and safety briefing from your instructor.
09:00 AM – Enjoy fruits, juices, and soft drinks onboard. If you’re lucky, you might spot dolphins on the way!
09:45 AM – Gear up for your first dive. Equipment check and buddy pairing.
10:00 AM – Dive 1: The Historic British-Era Shipwreck Adventure.
Explore a 1940s wreck site at around 40 feet depth, surrounded by angelfish, parrotfish, pufferfish, snappers, groupers and butterflyfish.
11:00 AM – Snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding from the boat.
11:30 AM – Gourmet snacks and beverages served onboard, prepared by Novotel Resort & Spa, Candolim.
12:00 PM – Dive 2: Coral Garden Exploration.

01:00 PM – Depart from the dive site and begin the scenic boat cruise back to the mainland.

Q. How old do I have to be to learn to Scuba dive?
A. The minimum age is 10, and there is no maximum age!
Q. Do I need to know swimming to learn?
A. No advanced swimming skills are required, but one should be comfortable being underwater and you need to be in reasonable physical health.
